Larsen & Brusgaard develops the most advanced audible altimeters and other skydiving accessories. For the advanced Pro-Dytter and pro-Tracker, Larsen & Brusgaard applies a PSC display window solution.

Most important requirements

For this application, daylight readability is of outmost importance. Disturbing reflections from sunlight must be minimised without sacrificing readability (light transmittance).

Solution

An injection moulded display window was chosen for the application, to which PSC applies a Fine Mat surface treatment. The properties of the Fine Mat solution reduce the reflections significantly with little loss of transmittance (readability).

The display can be read at high altitudes without the user being disturbed by reflections or troubles reading the display. Thereby, the user trusts the results displayed on the screen and can concentrate on skydiving.
